Safe Teams. Safe Travel.

Westgate’s commitment to the safest vacations possible continues with our company-wide vaccination rate: 98%. We’re committed to your safety from the moment you step on property, and our team’s health in the years to come. It’s one more, and maybe the most important, way you know that WestgateCARES.

To Our Westgate Resorts Owners & Guests

Our number one priority at Westgate Resorts is the health and safety of our guests and Team Members. Just like many of you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), and we are taking all necessary precautions to maintain our position as the industry leader in guest experience and safety. We are in regular contact with and closely following all guidelines and preventative measures established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with local health authorities, and we want to take this opportunity to update you on the enhanced protocols and procedures we have enacted to help stop the spread of this and any other flu-like viruses.

As we approach the coming flu season and beyond, everyone should practice common sense precautions to ensure your ability to enjoy a safe and pleasurable vacation experience.

These include:

  • Regularly wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer stations that are located throughout our properties.

  • Thoroughly hand wash with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds and repeat this often to greatly reduce the chance for any infection.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently handled objects such as cell phones, keyboards, desks, table surfaces and office phones.

  • Stay at home when you are sick to avoid the spread of any germs (except to get medical care).

What Is Westgate Doing Differently

Well before COVID reached any of our resort destinations, we implemented WestgateCARES, a detailed action plan that includes the following to limit our guests’ and owners’ exposure to the novel coronavirus:

  1. We are in constant communication: We have open lines with our Team Members to reinforce our personal hygiene and public area cleaning procedures in both guest-facing and back-house areas. All departments have implemented hand washing or sanitizing procedures, as well as hygiene protocols to take place multiple times during a Team Member’s shift.

  2. We keep it clean: All public and guest areas receive regular and extensive sanitization and deep cleaning protocols with the use of Peroxide Multi-Surface Cleaners and Disinfectants. Our cleaning staff has been provided with Disinfectant Wipes/Clorox Bleach Germicidal Wipes and Purell Surface Sanitizer for routine cleaning of all guest and Team Member touch points.

  3. We make it easy to stay clean: Additional hand sanitization stations have also been deployed throughout our resorts and corporate facilities.

  4. We are cautious: All Westgate Team Members who exhibit any “flu-like” symptoms have been prohibited from reporting to work until after they seek medical treatment and receive a “return to work authorization” from their physician.

  5. We’re taking preventative quarantine steps: Team Members who have traveled to any region that has a high likelihood of contact with this virus have been placed on a 14-day self-quarantine.

  6. We’re following travel protocols: All Team Members have been instructed to not travel to any destination that is experiencing outbreaks of the virus, and if they do, they will be subject to a 14-day self-quarantine.

As you can see, we are taking every precaution possible, as we update and implement our procedures in real-time when new information becomes available.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the above protocols and procedures, please contact us at 888-852-2959 or 407-355-2690. Thank you for your understanding and trust in Westgate Resorts.
