Westgate Owners FAQ

Q. When will Westgate Owners be able to book?
A. Many of our owners have already begun to exchange their weeks to this resort and as additional renovated villas become available there will be more opportunities for exchange in the future.

Q. Are Westgate Owners able to exchange weeks or use Bonus/Supplemental Weeks?
A. Yes, Owners are able to exchange their weeks as well as use their Bonus/Supplemental Weeks at Westgate Cocoa Beach, based on resort availability and Bonus Week Terms and Conditions.

Q. Will a room discount be offered to Owners?
A. Yes, Owners will receive their nightly rental discount of up to 30% off. The discount is based on availability and subject to change. Please contact Owner Reservations at (800) 925-9999 option 3 and a knowledgeable Vacation Specialist will assist you.

Q. Will housekeeping be the same for Owners at other Westgate properties?
A. Daily housekeeping is offered for Owners when renting per night and a midweek cleaning will be offered when using or exchanging your timeshare week.

Q. Where is Westgate Cocoa Beach located?
A. Westgate Cocoa Beach is located one mile from the world-famous Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier with direct beach access from the resort at 3550 North Atlantic Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. Located along A1A, the resort is just a short drive from popular area attractions including Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Ron Jon Surf Shop and one of the country’s top cruise ports, Port Canaveral.

Q. When was Westgate Cocoa Beach purchased?
A. The hotel was purchased by Westgate Resorts in 2016 and renovations were completed in June 2018.

Q. When will guests check-in and out of the resort?
A. Check-in: 4pm and Check-out: 10am

Q. What can you tell me about the resort?

A. Wakulla Suites has been completely transformed into Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort after completing a $15 million comprehensive renovation. This Polynesian-themed resort boasts two-bedroom, two-bathroom, fully equipped high-end villas, along with a variety of exclusive beach concierge level services unique to the Space Coast. The new centerpiece of the beachfront resort will be complimentary guest access to a 75,000-gallon, tropical-themed water park named Wakulla Falls featuring small slides, a children’s splash pad and a 335-foot lazy river. Centrally located just a few steps from each guest villa, the waterpark will offer lush tropical landscaping and surfing-themed décor highlighting the Cocoa Beach’s designation as the “East Coast Surfing Capital.”

Q. What do the guestrooms provide?
A. With room for up to six guests, the spacious Two-Bedroom Deluxe Villas offer an intimate setting with all the comforts of home. The beautifully decorated Two-Bedroom Deluxe Villa creates the ideal setting for an unforgettable Cocoa Beach vacation getaway. Each of the spacious suites features a king bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen. Nearly all of the units can lock-off into Four-Bedroom Deluxe Villas.

Q: What are the available onsite amenities?
A: Your visit to Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort includes access to amenities like chaise lounge rentals, beach umbrella rentals, coolers with ice, Bluetooth speakers, body boards, beach balls, and even complimentary sunscreen and after-sun body lotion. Onsite amenities also include a beach volleyball court, barbecue facilities and gift shop.

Guests of the resort are able to take advantage of a complimentary shuttle to the nearby Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier, which which offers five restaurants and bars, three retail stores, surf lessons, beach and bicycle rentals, as well as beachside cabana service. The resort’s on-site dining outlets, Aloha Tiki Bar and Beachside Café, will open in September, offering guests additional dining options onsite.

Q. What to bring and what to leave at home?
A. We want your visit to Westgate Cocoa Beach to be fun-filled and worry-free. We’re stocked with all the beach toys you need to enjoy your time in the surf and sand, including body boards, beach balls, footballs, and volleyballs. This means you can pack light and leave your beach gear at home!

Q. What dining options are available?
A. Dining options at Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier include Pelican’s Bar & Grill, Rikki Tiki Tavern, Keith’s Oyster Bar, The Boardwalk Bar, and Sea Dogs. To learn more, click here. The resort’s on-site dining outlets, Aloha Tiki Bar and Beachside Café, will open in September, offering guests additional dining options onsite.

Q. What landmarks are located around the resort?
A. Nearby attractions include Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier, Kennedy Space Center, Ron Jon Surf Shop, Brevard Zoo, Exploration Tower, Dinosaur Store, Florida Surf Museum, Manatee Sanctuary Park and so much more .

Q. Do you offer meeting spaces?

A. Coming September 2018, groups looking to host family reunions, weddings, executive retreats, incentive trips and others will be able to take advantage of the finest oceanfront meeting space in Cocoa Beach. The 3,500-square-foot flexible banquet and meeting space will feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Atlantic Ocean as well as a chic bar.

Q. What is a beach concierge?
A. Our beach concierge ensures your time is filled with nothing but fun in the sun! We will assist in setting you up in our finest lounge chairs or shade you with an umbrella to make your experience exceptional, relaxing and comfortable.

Q. What is a surf valet?
A. Coming soon! Our surf valet will take your surfboards to the beach and bring them back to the resort as well as wash, dry, and maintain surfboards, wetsuits and other surf-related gear.

Q. What is the size of each room?
A. All rooms are 812 square feet.

Q. Is parking available?
A. Complimentary onsite parking is available. It is limited to one car per two bedroom unit only. This will be strictly enforced.

Q. Do you charge a resort fee?
A. No Resort Fee is currently charged at Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort.

Q. Is access to Wakulla Falls Water Park free?
A. Access to Wakulla Falls Water Park, lazy river, and children’s splash pad is complimentary for guests. Up to six wristbands will be provided per two bedroom unit. Wristbands are provided upon check-in and are valid for the duration of the guest’s stay.

Q. Which is the closest airport to the resort?
A. Merritt Island Airport is 7.5 miles from the resort; Space Coast Regional Airport is 20.6 miles away, while Melbourne International Airport is 23 miles away. Orlando International Airport is 49 miles away.

Q. Will tickets for area attractions be available for purchase at the resort?
A. A concierge is available to help with your entertainment questions, including purchasing tickets.

Q. Is the resort pet friendly?
A. No, at this time pets are not permitted at Westgate Cocoa Beach Resort, with the exception of registered service animals.

Q. What is the minimum check-in age for guests?
A. The minimum age to check-in is 21 years old.

Q. Will a security deposit be charged for guests who check-in?
A. Yes, A $50 credit card or $200 cash deposit is required at check-in for incidentals.

Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. Unless otherwise stated, cancellations for most reservations must be made 72 hours before arrival by 4pm hotel time to avoid payment of a penalty in an amount equal to the cost of one night's room rate plus applicable taxes. Deposits are refundable if you cancel within your cancellation window. Please check the cancellation policy on your reservation for additional information as some reservations are nonrefundable and/or have certain restrictions that apply.
