With humble beginnings, Westgate Resorts started with a 16-unit resort at Westgate Vacation Villas. In 2014, Westgate Resorts acquired the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, which features a lively casino that includes the world’s largest race and sports SuperBook®, along with eight onsite restaurants, live entertainment venues, a fully renovated pool deck and 1,200 remodeled Signature Rooms. Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is ideally located immediately adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center and just one block from the world-famous Las Vegas Strip. Westgate also purchased the historic Cocoa Beach Pier where visitors can enjoy 800 feet of dining, shopping and fishing over the sparkling Atlantic Ocean, as well as the Orlando Predators arena football team that has become a fan favorite in the Orlando area. In addition, Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo introduced Glamping ("Glamorous Camping") to the Central Florida area.
In 2015, the state-of-the-art Ship Wreck Island Water Park opened at Westgate Vacation Villas/Westgate Town Center. In 2016, Westgate added another resort property to its portfolio, Wild Bear Inn in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Wild Bear Inn is the closest Pigeon Forge hotel to Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
