1. How can I travel to a destination outside of Westgate?

At Westgate, we want to ensure you get the most out of your timeshare ownership even when you’re not vacationing with us.

That’s why we’ve partnered with outstanding companies that offer the opportunity to travel to other locations outside of Westgate Resorts, including international destinations.

All Westgate Owners now have access to our Westgate Cruise & Travel Collection and can take advantage of our innovative cruise exchange option.

This program allows you to deposit your timeshare week(s) for World of Westgate (WOW) Experience Points, which can then be used to pay for all or part of your cruise vacation on any cruise line with no blackout dates.

Additionally, your Westgate Cruise & Travel Collection membership gives you preferred access to thousands of high-quality resorts and hotels worldwide, car rentals airfare and extraordinary vacation getaways.

Westgate Cruise & Travel Collection allows you access to all travel products with special membership savings not available to the general public.

Additionally, with Interval International, you can exchange your vacation time for more than 3,200 resorts and hotels in the most amazing destinations in the U.S. and 90 other countries.

Please note, Interval International requires that exchange deposits be made 60 days in advance of your usage week with Westgate. Exchange Fees may apply based on season and destination.

2. Can I stay longer than the week I own with Westgate?

You always have the option of extending your reservation with Westgate by booking a nightly hotel stay for the extra nights you need before or after your confirmed weekly stay.

Our World of Westgate (WOW) Loyalty Program offers Owner discounts for hotel stays at Westgate Resorts.

If you don’t have a week saved from previous years and plan to extend your weekly reservation, you can borrow your week from future years and travel during the current year for either a longer vacation or an extra vacation in the current year.

Good news, there is no fee to borrow your week and use it in advance!*

In some cases, if you have unused vacation time from previous years, you can reinstate previous-year weeks to book a vacation. A small reinstatement fee may apply when you make your reservation.

3. Can I use my week to stay less than seven nights?

Owners who purchased a “Float Week” can split their week and turn one vacation into two separate stays!**

As an Owner with Westgate Resorts, you have the option to enjoy your vacation time with more flexibility.

If you don’t want to use all your time at once, you can select a portion of your week and make a reservation for a shorter period of three or four nights.

The remainder of your vacation time will remain in your account, allowing you to reserve another stay at a later date during that same deeded year or have it held for one year.

Exciting news! A new change in 2024 now allows Float Week Owners who choose to split their week the option to reserve both of their stays during weekend days, meaning Fridays and Saturdays.

4. Can I reserve a larger unit size or a different time of the year?

Westgate Owners have the flexibility to select from any of the unit sizes available at a particular destination at the time they make a reservation. Depending on the unit type you own and the one you choose, upgrade fees may apply.

You can also make a reservation during a different time of the year than the one you own. Based on your ownership type, season and the time of the year you select to travel, a seasonal upgrade fee may apply.

5. Can I send a guest to use my timeshare?

You absolutely can! All you have to do is let us know the person who will be arriving to ensure a quick and safe check-in and check-out process.

You can add the name of your guest when you confirm your reservation online. There is no additional cost to send a guest on your reservation.
