MAKO! Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster
SeaWorld Orlando is upping the thrills this summer with Mako™, the tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in Orlando. This 200-foot-tall, 73 mph and nearly mile long track is a hypercoaster, that is all about speed, tight turns and relentless air time. Its design and engineering was inspired by the real mako shark – one of the ocean’s fastest shark species. Below are the top four reasons why Mako ™ is a must visit attraction this summer at SeaWorld Orlando.
1. Mako™ is reaching new heights in Orlando.
Calling all thrill seekers, coaster enthusiasts and adrenaline lovers... this summer, experience SeaWorld Orlando’s unrivaled new coaster, Mako™. This 200-foot-tall hypercoaster leaves riders feeling breathless and weightless from start to finish.
2. Mako is the fastest roller coaster in Orlando.
Mako’s ™tight turns and speed are inspired by reality. Mako sharks are known for their top speed, making extreme jumps and the ability to quickly change course as they pursue their prey. Riders will reach speeds of 73 mph as they journey through an ocean scene as a mako shark.
3. Orlando’s longest roller coaster – nearly a mile stretch!
With close to a mile of track, riders will experience nine air-time hills including a 200-foot plummet. With constant drops, turns and whirls passengers can enjoy the thrill of the hunt as an apex predator.
4. Knowledge is power.
The devastating truth is that nearly 100 million sharks are killed annually. Due to overfishing, more than 30% of open-ocean sharks may be threatened with extinction. By creating this exploratory realm, SeaWorld Orlando hopes to inspire guests to care for and protect sharks, other animals and our natural world.
