ORLANDO, Fla., April 2020 – Westgate Resorts is pleased to announce that four of its resorts – Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa, Westgate Palace Resort, Westgate Towers Resort and Westgate Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort – have been designated as American Automobile Association (AAA) “Best of Housekeeping” resort properties for 2020, placing them in the top 25 percent of all 27,000 AAA inspected and approved hotels.
According to AAA, the “Best of Housekeeping” designation is exclusively awarded to resort and hotel properties that “significantly surpass expectations, as measured during a comprehensive, on-site inspection.” In order to meet the stringent criteria for the award, these properties must demonstrate housekeeping excellence by receiving the highest possible cleanliness and condition scores for two consecutive inspections, as well as be entirely free of AAA member complaints. The “Best of Housekeeping” designation qualifies these resorts to display the AAA “Best of Housekeeping” badge for use in all channels free of charge through the end of September 2020.
“We are honored to receive the AAA Best of Housekeeping designation, which reflects the hard work of our dedicated Team Members and our ongoing commitment to excellence,” stated David Siegel, Founder and CEO of Westgate Resorts. “All Westgate guests can be assured that we take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout all of our resorts.”
Westgate has achieved a bevy of awards in recent years. The resort company’s AAA Three Diamond luxury mountain resort, Westgate Park City Resort & Spa, was awarded 2020 Best of State Awards in seven categories, including “Best Ski Resort,” representing its eighth year in a row of achieving this coveted honor from the State of Utah. In 2019, Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino took home a record 23 of Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Best of Las Vegas Awards and Westgate Resorts was named Best Independent Hotel Brand at the 2019 American Group Travel Awards for the fourth consecutive year. Accolades have also been received from Forbes Travel Guide, Trip Advisor, Expedia & many others.
