Looking for things to do in Las Vegas during the day? A Las Vegas vacation is a dream for most partygoers, and true – most people spend the nights partying and gambling, but did you know there was ANOTHER side of Vegas? Kinda of like a reverse-vampire side,… yes! That's right! The side of Las Vegas that ONLY comes out during the day time! Now, at first this sounds a little crazy, I mean,… what can Vegas really offer during waking hours that you can't do when the sun goes down and the lights come up? But let me ask you this - do you have any idea of the myriad of things you can do in Las Vegas during the day? Have you ever even attempted a Vegas day trip?

As a party destination, the most popular things to do in Vegas are geared towards the nightlife. Whether it’s partying at the best clubs, gambling at the casinos, or watching concerts and shows, most of these things happen during the night, but that leaves ample 'recovery' time during the day for either low key activities OR to switch it up with some attractions that help you,… hmmm… let's just say, even it out (if you happen to be staying in Vegas for a while). But what happens during the day? You definitely don’t want to spend the entire day in your Las Vegas hotel room, right?

Okay, so we've established that there’s definitely more to Las Vegas than the nightclubs and casinos. In fact, there are several other interesting things you can do than just partying at The Strip. Read on as we share some of the best things to do in Las Vegas during the day.

1 | Tour the Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden | For a more family-friendly activity in Vegas, check out the Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden. You’ll find it at the Mirage, close to the pool entrance. Aside from swimming with the dolphins, your kids will enjoy a close encounter with animals from the wild such as leopards, lions, white tigers, and more! You can also take part in some interactive activities, such as Yoga with the Dolphins, Trainer for the Day, and a VIP tour. What’s great about it is that all these exhibits and activities are geared towards promoting conservation and wildlife research. Take your kids to the Sustainability Discovery Center where they can join educational exhibits on topics about water conservation and wildlife preservation.

2 | Visit the Springs Preserve Park | The Springs Preserve is a 180-acre natural park that has nature walks and interesting displays that are operated by the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Located just within the city, this park is also home to botanical gardens and other natural attractions. The Springs Preserve houses the water source that supporting the entire region with indigenous people. This is said to the main reason why humans chose to settle here some thousands of years ago. There are also a few museums within the park including the Nevada State Museum as well as the Origen Museum, showcasing the modern history of Las Vegas.

3 | Book a Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Tour | Are you looking for a convenient way to explore Las Vegas during the day? Then book the hop-on hop-off bus tour that will take you to explore the various sights and attractions all over the Sin city. The tour will pass by the famous “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, and will pass through the Golden Nugget hotel and towards the entertainment section of the Fremont Street, and into the malls, museums, and more. You just get off to wherever you want to stop and wait for the bus again to head to your next destination.

4 | Visit the Grand Canyon | During the day, take advantage of Las Vegas’ close proximity to the Grand Canyon. Located just 4 hours away from Vegas, the Grand Canyon is the perfect place to explore for those who love the outdoors. Although this observation wheel is also open during the night, visiting it at daytime means shorter waiting times. The Higher Roller will take you 550 feet up into the air, which makes for a fun and thrilling adventure. Your adventure will take around 30 minutes and you’ll be treated to a 360-degree view of The Strip, which is truly breathtaking. This one-of-a-kind display showcases real bodies with actual organs that were preserved using high-tech preservation techniques. The aim is to promote scientific knowledge to the public. During your visit, you’ll get a closer look into the workings of a human body. There are also galleries featuring anatomical specimens that were all carefully presented in an educational manner. 7 | Ride the Adventuredome Theme Park Attractions | Visiting the Adventuredome Theme Park is one of the best things to do in Las Vegas during the day for the entire family. This is an indoor theme park with exciting rides that are geared towards adults and kids. From thrilling rides to interactive arcade games, there’s definitely something for everybody to enjoy here. When taking your kids to the Adventuredome, be mindful of the age and height restrictions on the rides. As you see, there are many ways to entertain yourself during the day in Vegas. Aside from the things above, you can also go shopping at luxury boutiques, brunch at fancy restaurants, or hang out at one of those chic cafes inside the luxury hotels.

If you’re on a budget, there are free things for you to do as well. You can spend the day exploring the gorgeous interiors of the Venetian hotel and watch costumed performers wander along the streets.
