Guest Wi Fi Use Policy

By accessing and using the Westgate Resorts wireless internet service (“Service”), you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to abide by the following terms and policies, which are incorporated into and form part of Westgate’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. These are in place to ensure the safety, reliability, and enjoyment of our network for all guests.

  • The network is intended for personal, non-commercial use by registered guests, event attendees, and authorized users.

  • Westgate Resorts reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revoke, limit or suspend access at any time without notice.

  • Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk. Westgate Resorts is not responsible for any loss of data, delays, interruptions, or damage.

You may not use the Service to:

  • Engage in any illegal activity (e.g., piracy, hacking, fraud)

  • Violate copyright or intellectual property laws

  • Access or distribute offensive, abusive, or pornographic content

  • Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the network or other users

  • Transmit malware, spam, or unsolicited communications

  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or data

  • Engage in any activity that, in Westgate Resorts’ sole judgment, exposes Westgate Resorts or other users to legal liability, security risk, or service degradation

  • This is a public Wi-Fi network and users should have a limited expectation of privacy when using the Service.

  • Westgate Resorts does not guarantee security or encryption of communications over the network and makes no representations regarding the confidentiality of information transmitted.

  • Users acknowledge and agree that transmission of sensitive or personal information over public Wi-Fi is undertaken at their own risk.

  • Users are responsible for protecting their own devices and data, including the use of.

    - Secure websites (HTTPS)

    - Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)

    - Up-to-date antivirus and firewall protection

  • Access may be limited by bandwidth caps or speed tiers.

  • Heavy or abusive use may result in throttling or suspension of your connection without prior notice.

  • Westgate Resorts reserves the right, but does not assume any obligation, to monitor usage to maintain network integrity and enforce this policy.

  • We may block or restrict access to certain websites, ports, or services to preserve bandwidth and prevent abuse.

  • Violations may result in suspension or termination of access, denial of future access, removal from property, and/or pursuit of civil or criminal action action as permitted by law.

We collect limited technical information (e.g., device type, MAC address, usage time) for network management and troubleshooting. All personal information collected in connection with the Service is subject to Westgate Resorts’ Privacy Policy, available at https://www.westgate resorts.com/privacy-policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Westgate Resorts shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, productivity, or business

  • Unauthorized access to personal or confidential information

  • Viruses, malware, or security breaches

  • Network outages, interruptions, or degraded performance

  • Reliance on information obtained through the Service

  • We collect limited technical information (e.g., device type, MAC address, usage time) for network management and troubleshooting.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Westgate Resorts, its affiliates, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

Westgate Resorts reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Support is provided on a best-effort basis and is limited to general Wi-Fi connectivity; assistance with personal device configuration, security settings, or performance is not provided. Westgate Resorts does not provide technical support for personal devices, applications, security software, or third-party services.

Westgate Resorts may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance or experience unanticipated outages at any time. During these periods, access to the internet may be temporarily interrupted without prior notice. We strive to minimize the duration and impact of such outages and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance your guest experience.
